A most elaborate and highly ornamented architecture, and a mark of the Chinese dominant presence in Penang, Malaysia. The famous Khoo Kongsi is the grandest clan temple in the country.

A more known and prominent one among the eight clan jetties of Weld Quay. Their lineage can be traced its origin back to the earlier Chinese settlements in Penang who built these village on stilts.
