ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Great for nature & adventure lovers! Climatize to the highlands of Kinabalu by enjoying a day early before taking on the amazing climb up South-East Asia’s greatest peak, Mount Kinabalu.

Climb to the summit whilst combining it with a nature guided tour of the surrounding UN world heritage park.

Sample Itinerary:

Day 1 > Pick up from hotel/airport for an easy 2 hour drive to Kinabalu Park and check in Kinabalu Park Hostel/similar accomodation.
Free & easy to explore the Park and enjoy dinner by evening.

Day 2> Register for climb at Kinabalu Park HQ & collect packed lunch.
– Transfer to Timpohon Gate where you will commence your climb to Panalaban Base camp where you will pass different vegetation zones. 1st climb usually takes 4-5 hours.
– Arrive and check in at Panalaban Base camp and enjoy dinner at Laban Rata.

Day 3>
2.30am: Wake up for an early pre-climb meal & depart to continue your journey to Low’s Peak @ 4,095m. Depending on your speed & stamina, you would be able to arrive at the peak just in time for sunrise.
7.00am: Descend back to Panalaban Base Camp to rest and have breakfast.
– Check out and descend to Timpohon Gate.
– Return transfer.
