Kokol Hill is a highland resort destination close to KK, located between Menggatal and Inanam about 25km north of the city. Perched above 800 meters high, this hilly retreat overlooks the city, sea, islands of Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park, Sepanggar Bay and other elements along the western coastline.
A popular spiritual getaway among churches in Sabah, Kokol Hill also offers paragliding and nature activities such as birdwatching in a cooling environment. Still developing as a tourist destination, only a few hotels offer budget accommodation around the summit. Visitors can get there by an access route near Kiansom Waterfall (shorter but very steep) or from Menggatal town.
