Stop At: Taman Negara National Park, Taman Negara National Park

Taman Negara is a 130 million years old tropical rainforest , home to endangered animals as in tigers, elephants, tapirs, …. 14,000 flowering plants, 300 bird species and the elusive aborigines. Activities in Taman Negara : Canopy Walkway (Fridays closed), Jungle Trekking, Rapids shooting to visit the ethnic aborigines who live deep in the jungle. The ladies shy away, the children smile and the men ‘run’ away only to reappear with their fire making and hunting tools for a ‘native’ demonstration. The rainforest is their supermarket. Experience lunch on a floating Cafe.
Join Nature Guide for the Night jungle walk to look for smaller animals as in mouse deer, spiders, scorpions, snakes even wild boar and black panther foraging for food. The Guide lives in Taman Negara hence he knows the terrain like the back of his hands.

Cameron Highlands is a hill resort with large tea plantations and farmlands, waterfalls, lakes, wildlife, endangered animals like tigers and elephants, Rafflesia (giant flower) and aborigines. It was discovered by British Geologist Sir William Cameron in 1885. Tea plantations are instrumental in drawing visitors to the highlands. Take a stroll through the plantations for photo shoots. They work closely with WWF in animal conservation. It would be a wonderful experience to sip tea perched on an elevated tea cafe to catch a bird’s eye view of the lush carpet of greenery ! The walk down the Vegetable market to see a showcase of vegetables, fruits and flowers grown in the Camerons is exciting.

Penang is a high tech manufacturing entity and has trade incentives for foreign investments. The main attractions are Penang Hill, Kek Lok See Chinese Temple, Sleeping Buddha, Clan Jetties. The trishaw ride is exciting.
