Batu Caves is a Hindu Temple located at the outskirt of Kuala Lumpur City. These limestone caves are 400 million years old. There is a total of 272 steps leading up to the top of the main cave temple. It consists of three big cave. The world’s tallest Lord Muruga Statue with the height of 42.7m (130 feet high) is located here. This destination attracts a huge crowd during Thaipusam, which is an annual festival for the Hindu’s to pay homage to Lord Murugan. This festival will be celebrated in January or February of every year. This mother nature attraction is the most visited tourist destination.

Selangor Pewter Founded in 1885 by Yong Koon in his little shop called Ngeok Foh (Jade Peace), Yong Koon handcrafted pewter objects mainly for ceremonial use, such as joss stick holders, incense burners and candle holders for altars of Chinese homes and temples.The pewter objects sold by Yong Koon were polished with “stone leaf” (Tetracera scandens), a wild tropical leaf of a fine, abrasive nature. With the arrival of British colonials, the offering expanded to include tankards, ashtrays and tea services. The brand was then known as Selangor Pewter.

In 1992, the company changed its name to Royal Selangor to reflect its endorsement from Sultan Salahuddin, the Sultan of Selangor,dropping ‘pewter’ from its company name as its product range had expanded to include items from other materials.

Batik Center which established in 1974 is one of the oldest batik and handicrafts centre in Klang Valley. It’s located in the Gombak district which is just a throw stone away from the Batu Caves. Visit the gallery and you’d learn that batik is not simply a cloth with an elaborate piece of design. Syarika East Coast is the place you need to visit if you are looking forward to enjoy a holistic experience in Malaysian batik and handicrafts.
