Itinerary

Upon your arrival at our Gallery, we will introduce you to the batik making process and history of batik. Then, you will start to sketch the design of your batik scarf. We will give you some inspiration and templates as well.

After the sketch is done, you will use a traditional tool called “Canting” to apply hot wax on your sketch. This is a unique method used for more than 100 years to decorate motif on fabric.

The next step is coloring. You can paint your fabric with any of the beautiful fabric dyes we have in our workshop. You can even mix custom colors. Paint your batik with bursts of color and voila you have completed your own batik masterpiece. This an easy process and is fun for the whole the family!
After the drawing and painting part, the activity is done. Our team will quickly dry your fabric so that you can take it home with you. Another option is to use the batik as a handkerchief, in that case, you need to wait for 4 hours or come back the next day to collect your final piece of artwork.
Other optional services with extra charge are as follows:
– sewing the edge of the batik (RM10)
– courier service of batik to your home ( fees depends on location)
