We will also make a stop at one of the most prolific local business producing local crispies (kerepek) & delicacies. A quick stop to the nearby Redang beach with its famous Wishing Tree is a must before we head south back to Kuala Selangor.

Located about 90 minutes northwestern from Kuala Lumpur, this countryside is filled with vast agricultural land especially of rice field area. We will spend some time here visiting the ricefield area and also several local enterprises so you can shop for some souvenirs to bring home 🙂

Stop At: Pantai Redang Beach, Sekinchan Malaysia

The coastal area of Sekinchn also have some nice beaches where we get to visit the Wishing Tree by the beach and walk around the fishing village.

Stop At: Bukit Melawati, Kuala Selangor Malaysia

The hill overlooks the Strait of Malacca and has a lighthouse as well as the remains of the Kota Melawati fort. The fort was built in the late 1700s by Sultan Ibrahim of Selangor to protect against Dutch invaders but the Dutch captured it a renamed it Fort Altingburg. Sultan Ibrahim recaptured the fort in 1785 but it was eventually destroyed during the Selangor Civil War. The Altingsburgh Lighthouse was built by the Dutch in 1794.

Another attraction of Bukit Melawati is the presence of silvered leaf monkeys and long-tailed macaques, which are provisioned by tourists.The silvered leaf monkeys at Bukit Malawati are habituated to humans and sometimes willingly touch and climb on visitors, in addition to approaching to beg for food.

ri Shakti Temple is the only temple in the world where manifestations of all 51 Shaktis are installed. Consciously interspersed within this space are 96 carved pillars that depict the 96 universal principles of Hinduism.

Encircled by a huge decorative wall, entrance into the temple is via a magnificent Raja Gopuram (multi-tiered tower). Soaring to a height of 74 feet, the 5-tiered Raja Gopuram is a proud proclamation of the architectural treasures within.

The temple’s main entrance comprises 18-foot high sculptured granite frames weighing up to 4 tonnes, carved by skilled craftsmen from the ancient city of Mahabalipuram in Tamilnadu, India.
