Stop At: Kek Lok Si Temple, 1000-L, Tingkat Lembah Ria 1, Air Itam, Penang Island 11500 Malaysia
Malaysia is culturally diverse country. The People here practiced their religion steadfastly and built many religious sites. One of the better one is Kek Lok Si, better described as the largest Buddhist’s Temple in South East Asia. Learn all about Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism at the temple. There is a saying here in Penang – “you have not been to Penang if you have not been to Penang Hill and Kek Lok Si”.

Becasue of the depressing heat, thus the British set sight on the highest peak in Penang i.e. Penang Hill or locally known as(Flag Staff Hill) Bukit Bendera. They built a railway up the hill and bungalows for retreat during weekend. Here we can see the legacy of the bungalows left behind by the British beside experiencing a lower temperature climate compared to ground level. See Area View of George Town, Love Lock, Ginger Garden monkeys and some other habitat in the 130million year old forest.

Seeing the Marbel made buddha status at the Dhammikarama Burmese Temple, built in 1803, is the sole and oldest Burmese Buddhist temple in Penang. The temple is situated directly across Thai Temple Wat Chaiyamangkalaram. Walk around it to see what are the Burmese Buddhist nations. At the back of the temple, count the number of animal’s parts that make up the magical animal called Panca Rupa. Throw a few coins for good luck at the “Wheel of Life” fountain. Take a lift up to the top of the Pagoda.

The Khoo Kongsi is one of the largest Chinese clan-house at penang, with elaborate and highly ornamented architecture, a mark of the dominant presence of the Chinese in Penang, Hidden in an enclave, the magnificent family house became a get together for festivals. This magnificent clan-house was once a Anna and the King Flimming location.
