Itinerary
Day 1: Sandakan – Kinabatangan River
Stop At: Kinabatangan Wildlife Sanctuary, 90000 Sandakan, Sabah, Malaysia
You’ll be greeted upon your arrival at Sandakan Airport or at your hotel by our friendly guide and driver. Our driver will bring you from Sandakan to the Kinabatangan River for your 3-day, 2-night accommodation. Upon arrival at the lodge, our team will help you with your room registration and refreshments will be served followed by briefing featuring the overview of the resort routes & safety.
• Commencing at 1600hrs, you will join our expert guide for a river cruise in search of wildlife. This is a good chance to see Proboscis Monkeys, Orangutans, Macaques, Pygmy Elephants, rare birds, and other wildlife.
• Following the river cruise, enjoy a dinner of local cuisine.
• After dinner, follow our guide on a night walk to spot nocturnal wildlife and insects. Borneo’s animal nightlife includes Slow Loris, flying squirrels, owls, frog mouth birds, tarsiers, and more.

06:00 AM: Embark on an early morning river cruise in search of wildlife and birds.
• Return to a full breakfast awaiting you, taking the time to just immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the Borneo jungle.
• After breakfast, feel free to relax until lunch time
• Lunch
• Late afternoon, set off for another river cruise in search of wildlife and birds before returning to the resort for dinner.
• After dinner, head out on a night walk to search for Borneo’s unique nighttime wildlife

An early morning call at 0600 to catch the Borneo rainforest waking up is in store before the end of the tour. Check out and proceed to Sandakan Airport, Hotel or other drop off area.
